What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at Airline Dr in Houston, TX on December 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:25 p.m. Authorities allege a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 29-year-old Ricardo Esmin Sanchez Reyes was southbound on Airline Dr prior to allegedly running a red traffic signal and colliding with a Hyundai Sonata headed eastbound on Canino Rd. Following the collision, reports allege the Dodge also struck a Chevrolet Silverado, the impact pushing a Chevrolet Camaro nearby into a Ford F-150. Reports indicate the driver of the Hyundai, identified as 40-year-old Martin Arroyo Jr, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The other drivers were allegedly uninjured, according to police. Sources indicate a charge of Failure to Stop and Render Aid was recommended and/or issued against Reyes. Additional information was not available.
