Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at I-10 in El Paso, TX on December 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:49 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Versa operated by 31-year-old Martin Medina was eastbound before colliding with the rear of a tractor-trailer parked in a shoulder. Reports did not provide a confirmed cause for the collision. It was stated the driver of the tractor-trailer, who was not publicly identified, was uninjured. 31-year-old passenger, Alexander Ortiz, suffered fatal injuries while 31-year-old driver, Martin Medina Jr, was hospitalized with injuries believed to be serious in nature.
