What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at Ridge Rd in Pharr, TX on August 15th, 2022. Police are saying the incident happened around 8:19 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by an unnamed 42-year-old Pharr man was headed westbound on Ridge Rd when it allegedly performed an unsafe lane change into oncoming traffic. It struck the front of a Nissan Sentra operated by 31-year-old Martin Trujillo before continuing onto a tree. A Honda Civic operated by 33-year-old Danica Simons is said to have allegedly been following too closely before it also struck the Nissan. A passenger in the Nissan, 30-year-old Alejandra Sanchez, was seriously injured, as was Trujillo. The Pharr man was also seriously injured and officers recommended and/or issued charges for Intoxication Assault and Driving While Intoxicated.
