What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at SW Freeway and Bissonnet in Houston, TX on July 11th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3 a.m. A passenger vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed reportedly ran a red light and crashed into the rear of an SUV. The car was pushed into a concrete pillar and the driver, Marty Perez, died at the scene. A passenger as well as the driver and passenger of the other vehicle were all hospitalized in stable condition.
