Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 199 in Wise County, TX on November 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:07 p.m. A Toyota Highlander operated by 58-year-old Marty Wayne Chapin was headed eastbound on Hwy 199 when it veered from the road at a curve. The vehicle went into a side skid which caused it to roll before landing partially right side up. Chapin, who responding officers allege displayed signs of intoxication at the scene, suffered serious injuries. Records indicate a charge for Driving While Intoxicated was recommended and/or issued.
