Area authorities are investigating ac rash that injured at least two people at State Hwy 36 in Callahan County, TX on February 3rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:37 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by 63-year-old Douglas Mayhurst was headed southeast. At the same time, a GMC Terrain operated by 44-year-old Jacob Peery was headed northwest. As the vehicles approached, the Ford is said to have veered into a Northwest lane and struck the GMC. A third vehicle attempting to avoid the crash collided with the rear of the Ford, pushing hit into a ditch. A passenger in the Ford, identified as 59-year-old Jody Hayhurst, was seriously injured, as was a 12-year-old girl in the GMC. A second GMC passenger, identified as 520year-old Mary Fox had less serious injuries, according to officials.
