What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at US 281 in Archer County, TX on October 29th, 2021. They say a northbound SUV operated by 35-year-old Matthew Lange allegedly crossed a center line before colliding with a southbound 18-wheeler. After the collision, the SUV continued until it collided head-on with a pickup truck. Lange died at the scene while the pickup truck driver was hospitalized with serious injuries. The 18-wheeler driver was not injured. Police had no additional information to share.
