What Happened

Authorities are investigating a collision that killed a driver at I-30 in Dallas, TX on March 8th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:52 p.m. According to investigators, a westbound Honda Fit was merging into a center right lane before colliding with a crash attenuator. The impact is said to have caused the vehicle to veer back into a traffic where it was struck by Chevrolet Camaro. While attempting to avoid the collision, reports say a third, unknown vehicle, colliding with a Lexus ES 350. Reports indicate occupants in the Camaro and Lexus, who were not publicly identified, had non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda, identified as 37-year-old Matthew Nestor, was seriously injured and hospitalized for treatment of injuries that he later died from.
