Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 181 in Karnes County, TX on June 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Mercury Grand Marquis operated by 21-year-old Maximino Hurtado was headed northbound on US 181 when it left the roadway for unclear reasons. Upon doing so, the vehicle is said to have veered into a grassy area before colliding with a large tree. The impact left Hurtdao with fatal injuries at the scene.
