Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-2 and 23rd St in McAllen, TX on November 14th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:55 p.m. A Chevrolet Spark operated by 37-year-old Maximo Perez was reportedly stopped at a red light waiting to make a left turn when it was struck in the rear by a tractor-trailer operated by a 61-year-old Laureles, TX man. Perez suffered minor injuries in the collision while the truck driver was uninjured. Investigators allege the truck driver was distracted while driving.
