Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at 75th St in Houston, TX on October 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:43 p.m. According to investigators, a Kia Optima operated by 37-year-old Ray Miranda was headed northbound on 75th St at an alleged high rate of speed while weaving through traffic before veering into a southbound lane. The vehicle is said to have run a red light at the Canal intersection before crashing head on into a Chevrolet Silverado and causing that vehicle to hit a Jeep Wrangler. 43-year-old Mayra Pena and 73-year-old Leonor Arreozola were seriously injured in the crash. A 9-year-old in the same vehicle was also seriously injured. Miranda was charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid and officers recommended a DWI charge.
