What Happened

Arkansas State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person at US 67 in Randolph County, AR on December 29th, 2021. Police say it happened around 12:26 a.m. A GMC Yukon operated by 25-year-old Megan Crawford was traveling northbound behind a tractor-trailer when investigators say the Yukon attempted to pass the tractor-trailer, going into the southbound lane. A second tractor-trailer was approaching in the southbound lane and collided head-on with the Yukon, causing fatal injuries to Crawford. A 30-year-old passenger, Shane Owens, suffered undisclosed injuries. Additional details were not available.
