What Happened

San Antonio Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at Loop 410 and Fredericksburg Rd in San Antonio, TX on January 17th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7 p.m. and involved a pair of vehicles colliding under unclear circumstances. The impact from the collision sent one of the vehicles into a nearby crosswalk where it struck a woman standing nearby. That woman died at the scene. A second person in the vehicle that was struck also died. They were identified as 42-year-old Cynthia Ann Shepheard and 43-year-old Melissa Boehl. Four others involved suffered undisclosed injuries. Investigators say alcohol is suspected to be involved in the collision and had no additional information to share.
