Police say the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 35-year-old man was eastbound on FM 1606 was approaching the intersection with FM 644. The vehicle is alleged to have disregarded a stop sign, traveling into the path of an approaching Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 35-year-old Melissa Lynn Farrington. The vehicles collided at the intersection, leaving Farrington with injuries suspected of being serious in nature. The other driver was not injured, according to police.
