Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at Eastern St in Amarillo, TX on February 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Liberty operated by a 32-year-old Clovis, NM man was heard southbound before allegedly failing to control its speed and collided with the rear of a Dodge Challenger at a stop sign. A passenger in the Jeep, identified as 24-year-old Melissa Reyes, suffered serious injuries. The others involved are said to have been uninjured. Additional information was not available.
