What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-10 in Beaumont, TX on June 20th, 2024. Police say the crash happened around 9:26 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Cruze was disabled in a lane of travel while as a Nissan Versa approached. Reports say another vehicle ahead of the Nissan veered into the path of the Nissan, blocking its view before the Nissan collided with the disabled Chevrolet. Reports say the Nissan was then struck by a tractor-trailer, the collision leaving 19-year-old Nissan operator, Melissa Richard, with non-life-threatening injuries.
