What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at US 90 in Harris County, TX on April 15th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Wrangler was westbound before veering out of its lane under unclear circumstances. Authorities say the vehicle went into a shoulder and through a ditch before striking a group of trees and overturning onto its side. The driver, identified as 53-year-old Eugene Lester, was fatally injured. A passenger, identified as 68-year-old Mellody Roller, was seriously injured, authorities say.
