What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Belt Line Rd an Nix Rd in Carrollton, TX on October 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 a.m. A Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by 40-year-old Melvin Delgado is accused of colliding with a bus that was stopped at a bus stop while unloading passengers. Investigators say the hazard lights were active on the bus at the time and allege that Delgado may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was seriously injured while a 29-year-old bus passenger suffered minor injuries. Several others were evaluated for possible injuries.
