Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 67 in Runnels County, TX on January 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:56 p.m. A Ford Ranger operated by 19-year-old Mia Cervantes was headed northeast on US 67 before it veered into an east barrow ditch. It then overcorrected and went into a skid, striking a fence and overturning into a ditch. Cervantes was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Officers allege Cervantes may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Additional information was not immediately available.
