What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a man at FM 1788 in Midland County, TX on February 16th, 2022. Investigators say the incident occurred just before 8 a.m. A motorcycle operated by 60-year-old Michael Brown was reportedly headed southbound on FM 1788 while a truck operated by 23-year-old William Estep was headed northbound. Police say the truck was turning left on WCR 33 when the motorcycle collided with the side of the truck, causing Brown to suffer fatal injuries at the scene. Police did not indicate which vehicle had right-of-way, nor did they mention if Estep was injured.
