Police say the incident happened around 1:20 a.m. A Ford Expedition operated by 38-year-old Joel Alcazar is accused to running a red light at an intersection and colliding with a Honda Accord operated by 20-year-old Heather Nghiem. The impact of the collision caused fatal injuries to a passenger in the Honda, 21-year-old Michael Cao-Truong Nguyen. Nghiem suffered minor injuries while Alcazar, who was not injured, was charged with Intoxication Assault With a Vehicle.
