What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at State Hwy 6 and Gordon St in Alvin, TX on October 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:14 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Focus operated by 57-year-old Bethany Shaddix was headed southbound to turn onto North Gordon when it allegedly failed to control its speed before crashing into a pole. The crash caused serious injuries to a 76-year-old passenger, identified as Michael Daise, who was hospitalized for treatment. Officers recommended and/or issued a charge for Intoxication Assault charge for Shaddix.
