What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 83 in Uvalde County, TX on June 6th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:20 p.m. A Dodge Ram 3500 operated by 49-year-old Clayton Lindsey was headed northbound when the vehicle made an abrupt turn into southbound lanes. It then collided head-on with a Ford F-150 operated by 44-year-old Michael Deleon. Deleon suffered fatal injuries from the collision while his passenger, 39-year-old Deanna Deleon, was seriously injured. Also seriously injured were Lindsey and two of his passengers, 38-year-old Stacy Anderson and 51-year-old Jody Malone. Responding officers say that Lindsey allegedly admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the crash.
