Police say the incident happened around 8:56 p.m. According to investigators, a Volkswagen Jetta operated by 18-year-old Michael Guajardo Rojas was southbound, allegedly at a high rate of speed. Police say at some point, the vehicle entered onto the wrong side of the roadway before losing control at a curve in the road and colliding with a large tree.
