What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1960 in Humble, TX on October 20th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:29 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Avalanche is accused of failing to control its speed before colliding with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep is said to have rotated and struck a nearby Chevrolet Trailblazer which was pushed into a Volvo XC90. Reports indicate the Trailblazer and Volvo operators were uninjured. A passenger in the Jeep had possible injuries while the driver, identified as 68-year-old Michael Leger, was seriously injured. Sources indicate a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the Avalanche.
