Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at I-35 in Ellis County, TX on January 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C2500 headed northbound before veering from its lane into a shoulder. From there, reports say the vehicle struck a pedestrian headed southbound on the northbound shoulder. The pedestrian, 41-year-old Michael Morse, was seriously injured in the collision. Reports say the driver of the Chevrolet allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the collision. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the Chevrolet driver.
