Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at East 52nd St in Odessa, TX on June 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:50 p.m. Investigators say a Mazda 6 operated by 18-year-old Victor Mendoza III was headed southbound exiting an apartment complex, failing to yield right of way. An approaching motorcycle operated by 67-year-old Michael Rayner, collided with the Mazda, leaving Rayner with serious injuries. Mendoza reportedly fled the scene and was charged with Failure to Yield, No Driver's License, Minor Drive Under the Influence and Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
