What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at RM 1024 in Val Verde County, TX on January 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:29 a.m. A commercial truck operated by a 53-year-old Del Rio man was headed northbound on RM 1024 when it veered from the road. While attempting to correct back onto the road, the vehicle then lost control and overturned onto its passenger side. The incident caused fatal injuries to a passenger, 59-year-old Michael Reyna. The driver suffered minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
