What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 35N in Port Lavaca, TX on January 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:18 a.m. A GMC Yukon operated by 55-year-old Donny Gene Ford Jr was headed eastbound on Half League when, according to investigators, it ran a red light. It then collided with a Mitsubishi sedan operated by 55-year-old Michael Robles. A tractor-trailer behind applied its brakes to avoid a collision, however, it did make contact with the Mitsubishi. Robles suffered serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
