What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1101 and Kowald Ln in New Braunfels, TX in June 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:48 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 44-year-old Michael Taylor was reportedly headed northbound on FM 1101 as it veered from its lane into a curb. The vehicle lost control as a result and began to slide, throwing Taylor from the vehicle and causing serious injuries. Police allege initial evidence suggests alcohol may have played a part in the crash and reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
