What Happened

Houston Police have identified the pedestrian killed in a collision at I-45 in Houston, TX on October 3rd, 2021. Officials are saying it happened around 8:14 p.m. A Chevrolet Avalanche operated by a 35-year-old Galveston man was headed southbound on I-45 when a pedestrian headed west to east is said to vehicle failed to yield and crossed into the path of the vehicle. The Chevrolet reportedly stopped at the scene and waited for paramedics and police to arrive. The pedestrian, identified as 47-year-old Michelle Danette Norton was transported to an area hospital with injuries she died from.
