What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Blanco Rd in San Antonio, TX on June 18th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:09 p.m. A Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by 61-year-old Mike Davila was headed northbound on Blanco Rd when police believe it made contact with another vehicle. They say prior to it making contact, it was weaving in and out of traffic lanes. The impact of the collision caused Davila to be ejected from the bike, which skidded off the road. The other vehicle continued driving and did not remain at the scene for police. Davila suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Police say that preliminary toxicology tests revealed that intoxicants were found in Davila's system and may have contributed to the crash.
