What Happened

Richardson Police have information on a crash that killed one person involved at North Central Expressway in Richardson, TX on December 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Sequoia is said to have changed lanes before striking the rear of a Nissan Versa. It was alleged by officials the Nissan may have either been moving at a low rate of speed or disabled in a moving lane of travel at the time of the collision. The driver of the Nissan, 74-year-old Miriam Mazhindu, was hospitalized with injuries she later died from, reports say. The Toyota operator, who was not publicly identified, was hospitalized with injuries believed to be serious in nature. Additional details were not available.
