Authorities in Arcola, TX, are investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred on March 19, 2025, at approximately 12:13 p.m. on FM 521 near SH 6. A 2024 Ford F-150 was traveling south when it failed to control speed and rear-ended a 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage. The Mirage was then pushed into a 2014 Honda Accord Crosstour. The 50-year-old driver of the Ford was uninjured. The 48-year-old driver of the Mirage sustained fatal injuries. The 68-year-old driver of the Honda sustained a possible injury. Contributing factors included driver inattention, failure to control speed, and distraction.
