What Happened

OSHA Reps are investigating a construction accident that left at least one person dead at Friendswood High School in Friendswood, TX on June 13th, 2023. Officials say the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. According to their investigators, the roof of a building under renovation at the high school collapsed under unclear circumstances. 26-year-old construction worker, Moises Alejandro Morales, suffered fatal injuries in the incident. They believe he may have been struck by debris in the collapse. Three others, who were not publicly identified, were hospitalized with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature. No students or staff members were present at the time of the incident. At this time, officials do not have any additional information related to a cause for the incident.
