What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured several people at US 287 in Midlothian, TX on April 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:17 p.m. They say a commercial tractor-trailer headed westbound was entering US Hwy 287 from an on ramp at Main Street when it failed to yield right of way. It collided with a Ford Fusion operated by 42-year-old Deirdre Davenport, which caused to Ford to cross a center median into eastbound lanes. It then collided with a Mercedes-Benz operated by 49-year-old Kenneth Erwin  before the Mercedes was struck by Cadillac ATS operated by 42-year-old Monica Lambert. Lambert was seriously injured in the crash while Erwin and Davenport suffered minor injuries. The truck driver, a 52-year-old Fort Worth man also suffered minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
