What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Lookout Rd in Selma, TX on May 10th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:52 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tundra operated by a 40-year-old man who was not identified was traveling northbound at the time. Police allege the vehicle disregarded a red light before traveling into an intersection. Once there, the vehicle struck a westbound Toyota Rav4 operated by 54-year-old Anjelika Machtchikova. The crash left both Machtchikova and a 67-year-old passenger with serious injuries. The passenger, identified as Moris Dimyan, later died from their injuries. The other driver was not injured, according to police, who also recommended charges of DWI, Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault against the driver.
