What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that killed two people at State Hwy 89 near Sinton, TX on December 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:26 p.m. Reports allege a Chevrolet Caprice operated by 90-year-old Morris Vaughn was southbound on US Hwy 77. Headed eastbound on Hwy 89 was a Ford F-150 occupied by 32-year-old Lisa Farago and 31-year-old Al Saenz, reports say. It was alleged by officials the Chevrolet may have failed to yield to the Ford as the two approached. The collision left Morris and 88-year-old passenger Patricia Vaughn with fatal injuries. Reports say both Farago and Saenz were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
