What Happened

Wichita Falls Police are investigating a crash that injured a mother and her children at Southwest Parkway and Elmwood Ave in Wichita Falls, TX on October 14th, 2022. Officials are saying it happened around 6:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Caravan was disabled in the roadway due to mechanical trouble when it was struck by an approaching GMC Denali. The impact pushed the Dodge into a nearby power pole. A 25-year-old woman and her two children were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. One of the children, age 2, later died from their injuries. The other vehicle did remain at the scene for police. Additional information was not immediately available.
