What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 2251 in Angelina County, TX on August 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:15 a.m. According to investigators, a Mitsubishi passenger car was allegedly headed southbound on FM 2251 in a northbound lane. A Dodge Ram was revealing northbound at the time before the two vehicles collided. Police say the driver of the Dodge, identified as 21-year-old Muzainie Shepherd-Hilliard, suffered injuries believed to be minor in nature. The driver of the Mitsubishi, identified as 63-year-old Larance Dove, suffered more serious injuries, according to police. Sources indicate a Wrong Side, Not Passing and a Driving While Intoxicated charge were both recommended and/or issued against Dove.
