Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at Polk St in Pharr, TX on February 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:38 a.m. Investigators say a Jeep Cherokee operated by a 36-year-old Pharr man was headed northbound when it collided with the left side of a westbound BMW X5 operated by 20-year-old Luis Garza. A passenger in the Jeep, identified as 20-year-old Naomi Cantu suffered serious injuries. A 20-year-old passenger in the BMW also suffered serious injuries. Records indicate the driver of the Jeep was issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
