What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that injured a driver at RM 473 in Blanco County, TX on January 22nd, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 2:01 p.m. and involved a Pontiac Vibe operated by 36-year-old Natalie Kuntz.  According to investigators, the Pontiac was headed westbound on RM 473 when it began to veer from a curve in the road. The vehicle is said to have performed a faulty evasive maneuver that caused to go into a skid and veered from the road at an elevated dirt patch. It flew into a tree and rolled onto its side, the impact causing Kuntz serious injuries. Responding officers allege Kuntz smelled of alcohol at the scene and suspect alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.
