Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at State Hwy 495 in McAllen, TX on December 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:04 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Soul operated by 22-year-old Daniel Saenz was westbound on Pecan Blvd before leaving the roadway for unclear reasons. Reports say the vehicle veered into a light pole, the collision being severe enough Saenz suffered fatal injuries. Also killed was 40-year-old passenger, Nathan Schawarz.
