Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. According to investigators, a GMC Suburban operated by 21-year-old Nathaniel Rodriguez was headed southbound prior to veering from its lane the vehicle first struck a median cable barrier before overturning into northbound lanes. The vehicle came to rest between a bar ditch and shoulder, leaving Rodriguez with suspected serious injuries. A 19-year-old passenger had less serious injuries, according to officials.
