What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed four people at US Hwy 59 in Wharton County, TX on October 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident involved a northbound Ford F-150 colliding with a semi-truck attempting to cross onto County Rd 309 from US 59. The collision caused fatal injuries to four people. They were identified as 77-year-old Neal Ward, the driver of the Ford as well as passengers Kelly Ward, 58, Shirley Dolan, 79 and Linda Royal, 75. The semi-truck operator, 54-year-old Mark Hajovsky, was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
