What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at TX 349 in Martin County, TX on May 1st, 2022. Police say it happened around 6 a.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 26-year-old Odessa man was performed an unsafe u-turn after previously missing a turn. It then collided with a southbound Ford F-150 operated by 43-year-old Nicholas John Hernandez. Hernandez suffered minor injuries in the collision. The Odessa man was not injured and cited for Turning When Unsafe and No Driver License When Unlicensed.
