What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at I-10 in Harris County, TX on December 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram was headed westbound, approaching two vehicles involved in a prior collision. Reports indicate the Dodge stopped to render aid to the drivers of the vehicles, who were outside their vehicles at the time. As this was occurring, reports say an approaching Jeep Wrangler collided with the rear of the Dodge before also striking the rear of Mercedes and finally, the driver of the Chevrolet. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Nicholas Jones, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from the following day. Police say no one else involved was injured and reports indicate the driver of the Jeep, identified as 32-year-old Asya Marshall, was charged with Intoxicated Assault.
