What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-20 in Tye, TX on August 10th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7:20 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 40-year-old El Paso man reportedly performed an unsafe lane change that forced a Ford Focus behind it from the road into a median where it struck a road sign. The driver, 20-year-old Nicholas Ruben Garza, suffered serious injuries. The other driver was not injured.
