Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman at FM 1788 in Andrews County, TX on December 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:38 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Wrangler was northbound on FM 1788 as a tractor-trailer ahead was allegedly performing an unsafe u-turn. Reports say the truck became stuck, blocking lanes of travel as the Jeep approached. The vehicles collided, sources say, the crash leaving the 33-year-old woman operating the Jeep, Nikole Tackett, with fatal injuries. The other driver was allegedly uninjured.
