What Happened

Garland Police are investigating a crash that killed one person at I-30 and Broadway Blvd in Garland, TX on June 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:54 a.m. Investigators believe a tractor-trailer operated by 43-year-old Nnamdi Samuel had been headed eastbound before veering out its lane for unknown reasons. Upon doing so, the truck struck a center median and light pole, causing it to veer across the other side of the the road. There, the truck struck another barrier, the impact from the collisions leaving Samuel with fatal injuries. Additional details were not available.
